Community Support
Do you have a special or useful profession or skill that you can bring to LEAD? We are always looking for community support.

Wish List
Some people own their own business or have connections that LEAD could use. Are you interested in giving LEAD a one-time
gift? These items are things we need and are asking the community for help in getting:
· Computers: LEAD is looking for faster computer systems to attain our goal of making a computer lab. Computers will also
assist the PCs4U program, (developed by a LEAD teen) which supplies low-income families in Lane County with free computers.
· Scanner: We need a scanner so that we can improve upon our documents by adding photos of LEADers engaged in LEAD activities
and meetings!
· Van: We are in need of a 15 passenger van to take teens on outdoor excursion and assist us with outreach.
· An underwater camera: We need a camera that is safe to take into the water so we can film activities like white water rafting
and scuba diving.
· Camera equipment: We need a camera microphone to have good quality sound when we are filming group activities and documenting
teens experiences in LEAD.
· A teen center: We are looking for a location to have a teen center. We will accept a donated building or the use of a
building.
· Office space: LEAD currently is without walls. We meet in one location, have staff and board meetings at another location,
and store equipment for outdoor excursions at another location. A central location for our office would ultimately help our
organization become more cost efficient.
· Outdoor gear: LEAD needs outdoor gear to help properly equip the teens for our Outdoor Adventure Program. Examples include
internal frame backpacks, dry bags, sleeping bags, 2-3 person tents, snowshoes, sleeping pads, gortex raingear, fleece jackets,
hats and gloves.
· Outdoor trips: LEAD is soliciting funds to provide an additional 3-4 day rafting trip, 2 one-day rafting trips on the Mackenzie
River, and a snow-shoeing trip to our yearly curriculum.
· Gift certificates: Gift certificates to different stores in the community would help to defray the costs of food and office
supplies. Specifically, LEAD needs gift certificates to Fred Meyer, Safeway, or Albertsons. We could also use gift certificates
to help defray the costs of printing and film development.
· Hand held radios: Two sets of hand held radios would allow event coordinators to communicate more efficiently when people
are geographically dispersed.
· Scholarships: Financial contributions help to create opportunities for teens in the community to participate in our program.
